The Mustang Region, also known as the Upper Mustang, is a culturally rich and arid region in northern Nepal, bordering Tibet. Often called the “Last Forbidden Kingdom”, Mustang was restricted to foreigners until 1992, making it one of the most remote and well-preserved areas of Nepal. The region is famous for its Tibetan-influenced culture, desert-like landscapes, and ancient monasteries.
