These Terms and Conditions apply to all trekking, tours, expeditions, and travel services operated by Everest Alpine Trekking (hereafter referred to as “the Company”). By booking any trip with us, you agree to these terms.
“A. Booking & Trip Confirmation”
01: A booking is confirmed only after receiving the required deposit or full payment.
02: The remaining balance must be paid before the trip start date, as advised by the Company.
03: The Company reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment deadlines are not met.
“B. Prices & Payments”
01: All prices are quoted in USD or NPR, unless stated otherwise.
02: Prices are based on current costs and may change due to factors beyond our control (government taxes, fuel prices, permits, etc.).
03: Any bank charges or transaction fees must be paid by the client.
“C. Cancellation & Refund Policy”
01: All cancellations must be made in writing.
02; Refunds are calculated based on the date of cancellation:
03: 30 days or more before departure: refund minus deposit.
04: 15–29 days before departure: 50% refund.
05: Less than 15 days before departure: no refund.
06: No refund will be given for unused services, early departure, or late arrival.
“D. Trip Changes & Itinerary Flexibility”
01: Trekking and adventure travel in the Himalayas are subject to weather conditions, safety concerns, flight delays, natural disasters, and government regulations.
02: The Company reserves the right to modify itineraries at any time for safety or operational reasons.
03: No refunds will be provided for itinerary changes made in the interest of safety.
“E. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)”
01: All clients must have comprehensive travel insurance.
02: Insurance must cover:
03: High-altitude trekking and evacuation.
04: Emergency medical treatment.
05: Trip cancellation and delays.
06: Personal accident and loss of belongings.
07: The Company will not be responsible for any costs not covered by insurance.
“F. Health, Fitness & Altitude”
01: Clients must be in good physical and mental condition.
02: Any medical conditions must be declared before booking.
03; Clients participate at their own risk, especially regarding altitude sickness (AMS).
04: The Company reserves the right to remove a client from the trip if their health is at risk.
“G. Guides, Porters & Staff”
01: All guides and porters are licensed, trained, and experienced.
02: Clients must treat staff with respect and dignity.
03: Porter weight limits are strictly followed according to Nepal trekking regulations.
04: Tipping is optional but customary.
“H. Responsibility & Risk Acknowledgement”
01: Trekking and mountaineering involve inherent risks, including injury, illness, accidents, or death.
02: By joining a trip, clients acknowledge and accept these risks.
03: The Company is not responsible for delays, injuries, losses, or damages caused by events beyond its control.
“I. Flights & Transportation”
01: Domestic flights (e.g., Lukla) are subject to weather and operational delays.
02: The Company is not responsible for airline cancellations or delays.
03: Additional expenses due to delays (accommodation, meals, transport) must be borne by the client or claimed through insurance.
“J. Personal Belongings”
01: Clients are responsible for their own luggage and personal items.
02: The Company is not liable for loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings during the trip.
“K. Photography & Promotion”
01: Photos or videos taken during trips may be used for promotional purposes by the Company.
02: Clients who do not wish to appear in marketing materials must inform us in advance.
“L. Force Majeure”
The Company is not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by force majeure events such as natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, or government restrictions.
“M. Governing Law & Jurisdiction”
01: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Nepal.
02: Any disputes shall be settled under Nepali jurisdiction.
“N. Acceptance of Terms”
By booking a trip with Everest Alpine Trekking, clients confirm they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
