Day 01 :

Arrive in Kathmandu:

After you arrival in Kathmandu, one of our representative greets you at the international terminal and escorts you to your allotted hotels. After some refreshment at hotel, now carry out sightseeing program of Kathmandu City by paying visit to popular sites like Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square. Later in the evening drive back to Hotel.

Day 02 :

Fly to Nepalgunj and drive to Bardia National Park:

Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and drive to Bardia. Upon arrival you will be met by Tiger Tops representative, provided refreshment and transferred to Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge, approximately a two-hour drive away.
Once at Karnali Lodge a hot Nepali lunch will be served. In the afternoon, head out on a duck jeep safari to the National Park in search of elusive tigers and leopards. The safari will last for two and a half hours.
The evening will be spent with cocktails around an outdoor fireplace before moving into the GholGhar (Nepali dining room) for dinner. A good setting for late night chats, the stocked bar remains open until the last person goes to bed.

Day 03 :

Elephants Encounter:

Rising early, guest can take a tour of the jungle to track tigers, elephants of the great one-horned rhinoceros in the morning light. An al-fresco styled buffet breakfast will be served on return. Guests will then have the rest of the day to meet the Tiger Tops elephants – the most popular activity at Karnali Lodge.
Spend a day with mahouts, elephant keepers, and watch daily life at the elephant camp unfold. Help prepare the 150 kilograms of feed each elephant requires each day, head down to the river to watch the elephant bathing, and take an afternoon stroll through the villages or community forest together with one of these gentle grey giants of the jungle. These intimate, once in a life time experience will give you a deeper connection to the jungles of Nepal.

Day 05 :

4-05: Enjoy Jungle Activities:

On days four to five, guest have the opportunity to partake in as many or as few activities at Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge; they can be conducted at your leisure and pace.
Activities includes:
01: Bird Watching.
02: A river safari to spot wildlife grazing at dawn or dusk.
03: A jeep safari in the National Park in search of tigers, rhinos and leopards.
04: Village walks.
05: A tour of the organic farm to see how Tiger Tops grow its veggies, recycles grey water and generates heat through compost.
06: Afternoon tea by the river where deep crimson sunset fall behind the forest canopy.
07: Relaxing with a good book in one of the many hammocks on the property.

Day 06 :

Departure from Bardia, fly to Kathmandu:

Enjoy an early alfresco breakfast before a morning flight back to Kathmandu. Pick up from airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 07 :

Departure from Kathmandu:

Enjoy the breakfast at Hotel and drive back to airport for your next adventure.

Do we need to book for safari in advance?

It is not necessary to make reservation but we recommended to book in advance so we can make sure everything is ready for your trip. If we need to tailor with the other activities so we can match with those things such trekking, Hiking, Tours Etc.

What is Bardiya famous for?

Bardiya National park is the largest national park in the lowland Terai covering an area of 968 sq.km. The park situated in Nepal’s Western Terai was established for protecting the representative ecosystems and conserving the habitat of tiger and its prey species.

What is the best time to visit the National Park?

Most national parks in India close July, August, September and through until about mid October for monsoon season, so always check with your tour operator. Periyar National Park, however, stays open all year round. The most popular time to visit is during the cooler, drier months from October to February.

How do I go to Bardiya?

How to get to Bardiya National Park. You can take a bus to Ambassa From Kathmandu to fly in Nepalgang(14-16 hours), Pokhara (12 – 14 hours) or Lumbini (10-12 hours). Often you will have to take a bus that goes all the way to Mahendranagar, but you can ask the driver to let you out at Ambassa.
